Sherri Mandell is an Israeli-American and mother of Koby Mandell, a 13-year-old boy murdered with his friend Yosef Ishran near their home in Tekoa, Israel, on May 8, 2001. In her son’s memory, Sherri and her husband, Rabbi Seth Mandell, established the Koby Mandell Foundation, which offers therapeutic healing programs for those who have lost someone to terrorism or other traumatic tragedies.
Sherri is the author of The Road to Resilience: From Chaos to Celebration, The Blessings of a Broken Heart and Writers of the Holocaust.
